The majority of cases of autism spectrum disorders, a set of developmental disorders, are autism (ASDs).

Autism is characterised by poor social skills, issues with both verbal and nonverbal communication, and strange, repetitive, and restricted hobbies and interests.According to experts, autism will affect 1 in every 67 kids. Autism is four times as common in boys than in females.

What Are Some Common Autism Signs?

Autism is characterised by three main behaviours:

  1. Problems interacting with others
  2. Delays in speaking and issues with verbal and nonverbal communication.
  3. Constant motion or restricted, focused interests.

Many autistic children do repeated motions like rocking and whirling or engage in self-destructive behaviour like biting or head bashing. Many autistic children have less pain sensitivity than typical levels of sensitivity to sound, touch, or other sensory stimuli.

Are There Periodical Changes in Autism Symptoms?

Many children’s symptoms of autism become better with therapy and time. Some autistic youngsters go on to have lives that are normal or almost normal. Some adolescents with autism may encounter behavioural issues or depression at this time.
Autism cannot be cured. However, with early diagnosis and prompt use of various medications, meaningful improvement is shown.
